Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by Don Alcala. There were 13 members and 1 guest in attendance.
Jeff made a motion to approve the October minutes. Motion was seconded by Waukeene. All for, none against. Motion passed.
Board of Directors and Member Reports
Don discussed past events: Roy’s fly event went pretty well, one couple were very interested and spent a couple hours learning to cast. Steve Utley tied his surf bunny at the October roundtable. Only George and Don participated in the October outing to PINS, and since the weather wasn’t cooperating, they went to Port Aransas jetty instead.
Upcoming events: November 15 Roundtable – George Board is featured tier; November 18 – outing to PINS; December 1: Roy’s fly event
Club decals for car windows are available. First one is free with membership, each additional decal is $3.
FFF is tentatively dismantling the Gulf Coast Council and creating a Lone Star Council for just Texas. They’re planing to decrease membership costs by moving the magazine to online-only. All LMFFCC members are supposed to join the FFF. The more members we get, the more items FFF will give the club to use for education and community outreach. Members are only covered under our insurance for events if they are FFF members.
We’re going to start a club blog – send any stories or pictures to Sydney and she’ll post on the website.
Always give out a club card with your name on it to get credit for membership drive. Prize is a Bugger Beast donated by Don.
Club is doing a raffle for a G. Loomis fly rod, Lamson Guru reel, plus line and backing. Tickets are $10 each. Drawing is at December meeting.

Get other members to come to meetings. BOD will start calling inactive members to get them to participate in meetings and events.

Sell those raffle tickets! Jeff will donate Redfish flyline to member who sells the most raffle tickets.
Elections for Board of Directors will take place at the December meeting.
Diego caught his first red on the fly at the Hells Bay tournament. He was the youngest angler participating.
Mark – Mudhole is coming to Corpus Christi on April 6, 2013 to teach rod building. The class is $149. More information available.
Mindy – reds are hitting live mullet lately; she got 24″ and 26″ reds

We raised $80 in the rod raffle and $49 in the fly raffle.
